Starbucks Facebook Fan Page Celebration

We have now reached more than 400,000 likes on our page! As a way for us to say thank you, we're treating you all to something yummy! Treat a friend to a Crème Brulee Macchiato (hot or iced) and we'll treat you to a second Crème Brulee Macchiato. All you need to do is say this line to our barista "I am a Starbucks Philippines Facebook Fan". This treat will run from Oct. 26 - 28, 2010. (Note: Crème Brulee Frappuccino™ Blended Coffee is not included in this offer)

I've tried this twice both Frappe and Iced and I find it very sweet, very caramelly. I still like the regular Caramel Macchiato. But Starbucks rarely do this kind of promo (at least that's what I remember) so grab the chance and bring your best bud from October 26 to 28!

Another update from the Green Siren...

Try our new breakfast sandwiches to go with your coffee. Or if you're really really hungry, why not try all 3! Hungarian Sausage, Egg and Cheese on Whole Wheat Ciabatta, Spanish Chorizo, Egg and Cheese on French Croissant, Tomato Mozzarella and Basil on Whole Wheat Foccacia.
Among the three, I've only seen and tried TMB from the branch I frequently go to and it costs PhP 105. This used to be on a Bagel. It's simple but filling. Try and pair it with hot coffee or maybe when you avail their Creme Brulee promo!

Yes, we are in for some yummy treats next week. Do let me know when you grab one!

Today is BDJ 2011 Fair and I might go. So see you guys there! It's my Kuya H's birthday too and I wish him the very best on his special day! God bless. :)

Have a happy Sunday everyone!

CBTL Frozen Swirl and Open House on Sunday

Hi bloggie friends! Yes, I'm still here. :) I miss you ladies. Anyway, I got to try CBTL's not so latest offering, Frozen Swirl. They entered the fro-yo scene and came up with their own version of it. There are two base flavors to choose from... The Original and Classic Vanilla. From the Original you can choose from Lemoncello, Berry'd Treasure, Pomegranate and Banana Caramel flavors. While you can either have Matcha Green Tea, Affogato and Caramel Affogato flavor with Classic Vanilla. But they have a Mystery flavor too! You need to say the code first to your barista before you can avail it. Just say "Awesome" and you can get Hazelnut flavored yogurt. How cool is that right? And that's the flavor I tried on Trinoma weeks ago just when they started to offer it in that branch.

Here's our scene:
Me: Which is better Hazelnut or Caramel Affogato?
Barista: They're both good but I'll go for Hazelnut.
Me: Alright. I'll have the Hazelnut.
Barista: Sorry Mam, you can't avail it unless you say the code.
Me: Okay. Awesome.

And we both laughed. Haha.

Honestly, I'm shy to say I want an Awesome please though I know that's the way it should be when you want it. Is it just me? :) I even asked him why they have to do that and what's so special with their Hazelnut flavor. Of course, we all know the answer.

It's my first time to try it and IMHO, I don't dig their Hazelnut flavor. Even if they claim it's that awesomely good! One big reason: I don't want hazelnut. It tasted like a yogurt with a peanut buttery taste-like syrup. Very nutty flavor indeed. Aaack I don't want nuts on my dessert. Haha. I know silly me for ordering it but they got me with their marketing/mystery flavor startegy. Also, it's called Frozen Swirl but where's the swirl part on my order? The one I had looked like a melted yogurt swirl. Is it really like this? But don't get me wrong here. My man loved it. I ended up giving it to him together with his order of Vanilla Ceylon Iced Tea.

And now great news... CBTL is having another Open House for their Frozen Swirl on Sunday. Yes, it's free. Visit their Trinoma, ATC and Rockwell branch from 10 AM - 12 NN. I'm not sure if I can make it but I'll definitely try Caramel Affogato this time. See you!

I've announced here before that CBTL will launch their summer drinks on March 14 and will give away 12 oz. complimentary drink of your choice of either "Pomegranate Fru-tea"or "Lemon Zest Fru-tea"..We're there at their Trinoma Branch by 10:30 AM to give it a try. *wink* There's a whole family enjoying their CBTL Fru-Tea by the time we came in!

Take a look at how refreshing they are..

Lemon Zest Fru-Tea and Pomegranate Fru-Tea

Since this will be our breakfast too, hubby and I had some add-ons to our order.

Ensaymada Php 65
Light-as-air puff pastry, smothered with butter and cheese.

Blueberry Muffin Php 80 (not sure with the price)
Stuffed from top to bottom with blueberries.

It's our first time to order these pastries and we loved it. As much as we loved their summer drinks. Hubby prefer Lemon Zest because it is so refreshing and I can attest to that. While I love Pomegranate Fru-Tea for its sour kick. We will surely try these drinks again..so hot in Manila ayt?

I know this is a late post, I almost forgot sorry :)

How about you have you tried it? Happy Monday everyone!

From 10 AM - 12NN, your choice of Pomegranate Fru-tea or Lemon Zest Fru-tea Ice Blended -- FREE! Pomegranate sounds like a good choice for me. If you're not familiar with it, it's called "Granada" by us Filipinos.

Ms. Lee Shen Gee Meet and Greet + Early Valentine's Date

Oh my, I can't believe who I just saw! While I'm lining up for the Valentine's day movie at Shang, Ms. Shen of Shen's Addiction came in to watch the movie too. Waaaah! I am speechless. I wanted to greet her but darn I'm so shy. Know why? She is so pretty! And you know she's one of my inspiration for starting this blog.

But then God heard my thoughts. After the movie, I'm waiting for The BF outside the cinema and guess what happen next? Ms. Shen is also waiting for his man and boy oh boy she is standing beside me. Woot woot! I put up all my courage and these words just blurted out... "Hi Shen!" As if we know each other for so long. Haha. Of course, she was clueless of who I am. But that's okay, I introduce her to The BF and I met his man too!

That's me and Ms. Shen. I don't know when we'll meet again. Sigh*

-----------------------------------
Around 11:30 PM, The BF and I decided to have some coffee at CBTL, Trinoma. The store is open until 1AM. We had our usuals. White Choco Mocha Dream Ice Blended for me and Hot Caramel for my man. We even tried Oreo Cheesecake Tart, which is so good. Little did I know, it is already February 14. Much of an early date this Valentine's. Spread the ♥.

Calories galore in the wee hours
